Luxury
Studio Apartment in Teignmouth, South Devon.
Come and relax by the sea in Teignmouth - Gem of
South Devon. Cross Park Annex is a beautifully presented and luxurious self
catering studio flat entirely independent of Cross Park, an 1850s villa built
for visiting sea captains. The accommodation comprises over 500 sq ft of space
that has recently been built to a high standard and with your comfort in
mind.
The property is 1 mile from the town and harbour
with a cliff top walk down to the beach. Teignmouth has a mainline railway
station and a bus stop is 30 metres away. Regular services run to Exeter, Newton
Abbott and beyond.

Teignmouth is a lovely seaside town that can sometimes feel
off the pace of modern life, so do not be surprised if you soon settle in to the
Devon
way of doing things.
You will be spectacularly blessed with beautiful local
countryside. The Haldon Hills run inland from Teignmouth and provide some great
walks and cycling. The Teign and Exe Estuaries are both internationally
important wildlife habitats and provide seafood to the local restaurants.
Dartmoor
is a large unspoilt wilderness that varies between quaint moorland villages and
towns to the rolling expanse of isolated moor where, if you are prepared to be a
little adventurous, you can still find peaceful retreats - even on the busiest
bank holiday.
A visit to the local tourist information centre will
provide enough information to keep you entertained for weeks and if you do get
bored just let us know, so that we can offer a few more ideas.
We hope that you enjoy the local fresh food, a wide range
of which is available from nearby shops and restaurants. Fresh fish and
shellfish is landed daily at the docks in Teignmouth and local farm produce is
supplied by a number of local outlets. Bishopsteignton has its own vineyard and
there are several local breweries producing some excellent local beer and cider.
Cross Park was built in the 1850s as one of two pairs of semi-detached
properties built at
Cross
Park. We can trace the ownership back to 1868 and it has been suggested that the
property was originally built for visiting sea captains. The original views over
Lyme
Bay
and towards the Ore Stone must have been spectacular and worthy of a sea
captain waiting to sail. The annex is a recent edition and it is
hoped that we have recreated some of the charm and comfort that still exists in
the original house.
